    * Network Jack was inspired by a set of tools written by Martin Hald
      in use at an ISP which no longer exists.  This version is almost
      a complete rewrite of the code, but some concepts and ideas still 
      show up, as well as some of his original code.

      programs, etc that are used to provide network jack.
