The Power of 42

Douglas Adams in "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" first introduced me to the significance of 42.

"You're really not going to like it," observed Deep Thought.
"Tell us!"
"All right," said Deep Thought. "The Answer to the Great Question..."
"Yes...!"
"Of Life, the Universe, and Everything..." said Deep Thought.
"Yes...!"
"Is..." said Deep Thought, and paused.
"Yes...!"
"Is..."
"Yes...!!!...?"
"Forty-two," said Deep Thought, with infinite majesty and calm.

Read Into it What You Will

No doubt you'll read into the significance of 42 what you will. Indubitably it will differ from the meaning I get out of it / take from it.

In fact, I most certainly hope others get both more, less, and different things from the answer of 42. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

When push comes to shove and you're faced with a question that seemingly has no answer (or perhaps you just don't know where to look for the answer), try 42; It works for me.

Just remember that there are no guarantees in life (except of course that their are no guarantees).

Excuses

I'm easily distracted by different things so much of this stuff hasn't been updated / changed in a while.

In most cases, my innate laziness also becomes a factor in not changing keeping things current.

Oh well.
